There's a lot of information to take in in order to fully understand Pokemon Prism, which can lead to some confusion. The rules and how-to's, for the most part, are fairly straight-forward and there's one for each major thread. However, given all of the walls of text, it's very easy to miss out on something. Here's a list of frequently-asked questions to help clear some things up for you, the player.
So how does this all work? How do I play? How do I get started?
Pokemon Prism is a game that revolves around raising Pokemon by posting and collecting Pokemon of different colors. The more evolutions a Pokemon has, to more posts it will take to raise.
To get started, go to the Adoption Center. Make a new post with your current post amount and the Pokemon you'd like to adopt, and a Pokemon will be generated for you shortly after. The Pokemon cannot be a legendary unless you've met certain requirements.
After you receive your Pokemon, you'll need to make a new thread for your stats.
What do I need in my stats?
All you need to do is keep track of the Pokemon that you've adopted and raised. If you have any upgrades that you've bought in the Item Shop, you'll need to list those, too.
Item shop?
Yes. Pokemon Prism has a currency system and a shop that you can buy various items from to enhance your experience.
So how do I get money?
Just raise Pokemon! For each Pokemon you raise, you gain PokéDollars equal to the amount of posts it took to fully raise a Pokemon. Once you've fully raised a Pokemon, you'll need to post your transaction in the Pokemon Prism Bank.
You mentioned something about legendary Pokemon earlier. Is there any way I can get one?
Yes! Just...not by normal means. Certain legendary Pokemon will be available at different times, all depending on who has claimed which legendaries so far. As of now, most of the Kanto legends are still up for grabs as well as two Johto Pokemon. You need to meet special requirements to adopt one, and it's first come, first serve. Didn't get a legendary this time around? It will rotate back...eventually.
Is that all?
Pretty much. Pokemon Prism goes into more detail than that, but this is meant to act as a basic guide of what's what and how to do basic functions. Please do make sure that you read each thread carefully, though! Have fun!
